Re: Home Candle Making
Dear Friend
If you are at all
interested in learning everything there is to know about home candle making, then this letter has some of the most
important information you'll ever read...

Here’s
why…
The information you'll
discover here will save you time, money and frustration.
I'm sure you've experienced going
on-line looking for information and being overwhelmed.
Between the blogs, websites,
commercial sites, advertisements, forums, professional sites, etc. there's just too much information for
beginner to sort through and make any sense of.

But that's not the worst of
it...
Some of the information out there
is so full of jargon that it reads like it's written in a foreign language. Not only that, you'll find websites
that contradict each other!
It's enough to make a beginner give up before they even
start.
It doesn't have to be that way.
Home candle making can
be easy… and
fun!
Imagine Being Able to Produce Beautifully Crafted Candles at
Home In Just Seven Days from Now...
Imagine for a moment that you have been tutored by a master candle
maker.
Imagine that they carefully and
patiently instructed you on the important nuances of candle making. They’ve given you insider tips and tricks that
would've taken you years to learn on your own.
Now you feel perfectly comfortable
as you hand-craft your own perfect candles. You love anticipating your next creation…
You know and understand the
differences between all the various types of candle wax: paraffin, beeswax, soy, palm oil, gel, and so on... Not
only that, you know which wax to use when... And why
You know the proper temperature to
melt each wax, as well as which temperature to pour your candles at (it's not the same).
You
know the "inside sources" that lets you get the best prices for your supplies...
You know when you can save even
more money by using common everyday household items in your candle making and when it's best to invest in
professional equipment.
Imagine meeting with other
hobbyists discussing the ins and outs of candle making, learning from them and contributing to the conversation
yourself. In less time than you thought possible, you have become a knowledgeable expert and you’re recognized as
such.
You can easily select the best
burning wick for the candle you're making.
In short, you're now a master of
the craft of candle making. And it took much less time than you ever thought possible because
of the help you had.
But making candles for yourself is
only the beginning…
Your Candles May Become Your
Friends and Families Favorite Gifts
It
starts simply enough. One day a friend stops by. As
you're chatting, they comment on how beautiful the candle sitting on your kitchen table is.
You thank them for the compliment and mention
something about being pleased with the new soy wax you've been experimenting with…
Your friend is startled to learn
that you made this candle yourself! You wind up giving it to them as a spontaneous gift. After all, it's easy
enough for you to make another one for yourself.
Before long, word of your candle
making skill gets out to other friends and you start hearing gentle hints about how nice it would be to have
one of your candles…
You realize that everyone likes
candles...
Now your personally crafted
candles become your trademark gift to family
and friends. You’re never at a loss for what to give. And you
don’t mind all the money you save either.
Then it
happens...
Someone saw a decorated gel candle that you made for your 16-year-old niece. They're throwing a "sweet 16” party
for their daughter and they’d like to have your candles as a party favor. Would you be willing to sell them
some?
It appears that your pleasant
little hobby has potential to become a sideline business. Do you know that a typical home-based, on-the-side candle
making business can make more than $25,000 year?!!!
Not bad for a
hobby.
Here's My Candle Making Story
It started with my grandmother...
My mom grew up on a farm. We often
visited my grandparents there when I was growing up (the family farm is long gone, but the memories are as great as
ever).
My grandmother was a classic, hard-working farm woman. Every spring and
summer she would make huge pots of jam, and then can enough to last the family all year.
Nothing fancy - plain raspberry
and strawberry are the only ones I remember her making.
But those jams are still the
best I’ve ever had. (So were her sour cream cookies.)
She canned the old-fashioned way,
using paraffin wax to seal the jars. That meant there were always boxes of paraffin around the farmhouse (usually
stacked in the basement next to the jam).
I think I was around eight or so
when I read on one of the boxes that you could also use the paraffin to make candles. This was a revelation to me.
I asked my grandmother if I could try it.
She set me up with an empty coffee
can as a double boiler. My first mold was a cardboard milk carton and the wick was a plain piece of
string.
I smile now when I think about
that first candle. I suspect the reality is that it was pretty darn ugly, but in my memory it was spectacular. I
was absolutely thrilled at how it turned out.
I made candles fairly regularly
for a few years after that. I used different home made molds and tried different techniques, but I never really
graduated much beyond canning wax and the coffee can double boiler. (To give you an idea, one of the techniques I
experimented with back then was to use half-gallon paper milk carton filled with coarse chunks of ice as a mold.
The ice would stay solid long enough for the hot wax to flow around. When the ice melted it would leave the candle
riddled with interesting cavities. I haven't tried it recently, but I thought it was pretty cool at the
time.)
Then high school and college came
along and I let candle making slide.
But my love of candles
persisted. I love the look of them, the
scent of them, and most of all the soft ambience that candle light adds to a home. I honestly can't imagine
entertaining without candles in the room.
So I've always had a lot of
candles around. But I always had to buy them.
That changed couple of years
ago when my wife and one of her friends dragged
me into a gift shop we walked by on our way to a restaurant.
This shop had quite a nice
collection of candles, with prices to match. It wasn't the first time I thought that candle prices were high and
remembered making my own as a kid. It had been happening more and more that as I bought candles, I thought
that I could probably do as well or better for a lot less.
Well, on this particular evening I
said as much.
To make a long story short, I
found myself accepting a dare to make a candle as nice as one you would buy.
It Wasn't As Easy As I Remembered...
The next day, I started my candle making
research. I expected to do a little online
research, visit a craft store, make a couple of gorgeous candles that night and then collect on my
bet.
It didn't work out that
way.
Just picking a wax was almost
overwhelming! I discovered that even
paraffin candle wax isn't the simple wax of my childhood - they're all kinds of variations and
refinements, each with specific characteristics and applications.
Not only that, I came across
references to beeswax and other waxes I had never heard of: soy wax, palm oil wax, gel waxes and
more.
Then there was all the
information about the importance of the proper wick... how to use dyes… what to look out for if you're going to use
fragrance…
It was a lot more complicated
than I remembered. I sorted through the
information as best I could and gave it a try. The first attempts were only okay. After more tedious research and
trial and error I finally produced candles I could proudly show to my wife and her friend (my wife was good enough
not to mention how many attempts it had taken).
Even though it was a rough start,
I was hooked on candle making again.
I have to admit, though, that if I
hadn't been trying to win a bet I probably would've given up after the first couple of attempts - it was just that
frustrating. However, once I had the technique down it was easy to reproduce.
It isn't that hard once you
have the right information.
I remember thinking at the time I
wish that there was a clearly written, step-by-step guide for beginners that would have eliminated that learning
curve.
At the time one just didn't exist.
The only way to really learn was by trial and error.
I didn't want to become a
teacher, but...
Over the next couple of years, I
continued to make the candles, gaining experience and learning as I went. Every now and then a friend would ask me
to show them how to make candles themselves.
Because I could cut to the chase and show them the "secrets"
of successful candle making, they'd almost always have immediate success.
And they got to skip a lot of the
frustration I experienced learning. Here's just one example...
Early on, I bought a very nice mold
for a 4" pillar candle. When I first made a candle with it I used paraffin wax with a bit of hardener, red tint and
no fragrance - pretty straight forward.
Everything went smoothly
until the next day when I tried to get the candle out of the mold. It just wouldn't budge. I just couldn't get it
out. No matter what.
In frustration,
I resorted to using a knife to separate the candle from the mold. Bad idea. Not only did the candle look
like it had been attacked with a hatchet, I severely scratched the mold, essentially ruining it - any candles made
in it from there on would show those scratches.
Imagine how foolish I felt
when I eventually learned that the solution to that problem is to put the mold in the freezer for 10 minutes
or so. The candle will pop right out. No ruined mold or anything.
That's the type of tip I
would give the people I taught to save them time and frustration (not to mention sparing them ruined candle
molds). Simple and effective and easy if you know it, but hard to learn on your own.
Before long, someone I was
teaching suggested that I put together a candle making program, a guide - something that would help an
absolute beginning chandler (as candle makers are known) achieve immediate success without the tedious research and
years of trial and error that I went through.
I ignored that suggestion for
quite a while. I'd never wanted to be a teacher, much less an author.
But the more I thought about it,
the more I realized how much I would've appreciated just such a guide when I was starting out. Plus, I could help a
lot more people learn candle making with the book than I could teaching them one-on-one.
Well,
it turned out to be a much bigger job than I expected, but here's the result...

This eBook covers nearly every bit of
information you’d want to know about making beautiful candles at home, plus more...

Candle Making Notes
Experienced candlemakers know the
importance of keeping accurate notes when they make candles. It lets them reliably reproduce their success, and

Most beginners skip this important
step, or keep their notes on scattered bits of paper that they can never find when they need them.
Not only that, but they often
forget to record crucial information ("Just how much of mirco-crystallin wax did I use in that batch?")
These notes will make you a pro
from the start - you'll have all the information you need accurately recorded and easy to retrive.
So here's the
deal:
For just $17.95 (a fraction of its
value), you'll get not only Home Candle Making Made Easy but two bonues worth at least as much as the book
(probably more).
Not only that, but all of this is
covered by a 100% moneyback guarantee so there's absolutely norisk in trying it.
Keep in mind that this is the only
place you can get your hands on this product right now (You can instantly download it). Not only that, but I
